SAN DIEGO -(Dow Jones)- Novatel Wireless Inc. (NasdaqNM:NVTL - News) signed a supply agreement with International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE:IBM - News) to deliver Novatel's PCS Connection Card through Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE:IM - News) . Novatel officials weren't immediately available to disclose financial terms.
In a press release Wednesday, Novatel said the single- band 1,900-megahertz wireless personal computer card provides access to e-mail, corporate databases and the Internet at peak speeds of up to 144 kilobytes per second, with average speeds of 50 to 70 kbps.
IBM will offer the card to its business customers.
Novatel announced the nationwide availability of the PCS Connection Card on Aug. 13, after the device was certified for Sprint Corp.'s (FON, PCS) Sprint Nationwide PCS Network.
