The market share information is very reassuring, but there some questions maybe others can answer:

1) Volume of the current suite market? Aren't many people waiting around for MS Office 97 due out November? I heard there is a freeze on buying the old MS suites which would thereby inflate the relative % share of competing products. Anyone have the absolute # of units sold and their approximate sale price?

2) Units != Revenue? I read an article that said Corel is very aggressive in pricing and in some cases bundled their office with computers for $10 (yes $10) cost to OEM. But since the article cites retail revenue, I assume they are getting a healthy profit?

3) I noticed the press release left out Windows NT and only mentioned DOS, Windows, and Win 95. What % of market are Win NT (I imagine most businesses, esp Fortune 500)? Has anyone checked on that Toronto Computers article that said their current suite doesnt work on NT?

I'm optimistic about Corel's future but am still very cautious about the latest results and their cash position. Will probably stick with other SI reader who said s/he will wait until earning report before buying in.
