The issue wasn't whether Iran has a right to make nuclear bombs or not. The issue was the general's remark. If your going to respond to comments about the general's remark with some statement meant to apply to Iran getting the bomb you should make the change clear.

I can buy the idea that Iran in a sense has a right to the bomb, but OTOH if Iran's leadership makes irrational and threatening statements, some of which involve direct statements about using nuclear weapons to destroy other countries, than its both reasonable, and in the US's interest to try to prevent Iran from getting nukes.


I believe that General made his remarks about 911 because those are his perceptions of why 911 occurred


If true that would make them deranged rather than dishonest. Personally I don't claim to know which is the case.
