It all comes down to who has the weapons and
gets to write history.

The United States had an ethnic cleansing campaign
against the Native Americans. We called it
"Manifest Destiny" and carried it out with guns,
forced mass exodus, destruction of villages, rape,
and even biological warfare in the form of trying
to help spread smallpox, a disease that was rather
deadly to Native Americans but somewhat not so hard
on people of European descent. Many of our "heros"
of that era such as General George C. Custer, were
actually guilty of war crimes. We just didn't see
it that way at the time...
