Nikola fraudster, Trevor Milton, in 2023 was convicted of fraud and received a four-year prison sentence, a $1 million fine, and an order to pay restitution to victims.

His mother, a Republican donor, paid $1 million for dinner at Mar A Lago. A few days later Trump pardoned Milton, and canceled the restitution requirement.
