My hat is off to him on the "how to let government" fund most of his businesses.
But didn't Musk say a long time ago, very publicly, that they ought to drop the subsidies -- all of them? Has he really complained about it now that it has happened?

He realizes he continues to lead the industry.

Who is it you like in China that you think is ahead of Tesla?

I think BYD is the leader, and based on to-date reported, while BYD is cranking out a lot of cars, it is NOT making more money. Even as Tesla has been suffering, it is pretty well kept up with BYD in spite of selling a fraction of the cars..

That is what profit is about.

Anyone else over there making money on EVs?
