** Microsoft considers Internet stock ( probaly add $5-10) to value of msft as a whole.

The Wall Street Journal today reported that Microsoft (MSFT) was
considering creating a stock to track the performance of its
various Internet holdings. A new stock could help Microsoft
capitalize on the popularity of pure Internet companies and
provide it with a strong currency for further acquisitions in the
online arena. Microsoft's Internet holdings include MSN.com, the
Expedia travel site, the CarPoint auto service, and the HotMail
e-mail service. The company also runs an Internet service provider
and the WebTV service. A potential tracking stock could quickly
become one of the largest dot-com stocks in terms of market
capitalization and audience. Microsoft had no comment on the
report.
