Jim,
As a long time EZ shareholder, when did it ever appear that analysts understood the company and it's potential ? From my experience, it seemed analysts always trailed any news with the company. Also, given Eli's longstanding history of doing a poor job communicating with Wall Street (one of the reasons I think he wants out as a CEO), my understanding is this had become a "show me" stock. Analysts are also unlikely to go out on a limb and given the company only gives guidance for the upcoming quarter, their price targets can only be short term ones.
As far as repeating previous posts, my understanding is that a significant number of people read SI posts, but do not post themselves. I don't expect they will read all the old posts and as a result, I feel it is important to briefly summarize what's already been said and what may be at issue, particularly with the upcoming vote.
And to Paul A., why should the focus be "after the vote" when there may be 25 % or more of shareholders who think this is a horrible deal, that the go-shop was a sham, and that this is in all probability a deal between friends that the legal community would likely have a field day with if these were US companies. |
