Chip, also there is a strategy which says only buy after the stock breaks out (nice volume with good percent rise) *when* the stock is making a brand new 52-week high, and closes for a day without giving it back.

MSFT did all this on Friday. Followers of William O'Neil (IBD) will see MSFT in the "buy now" catagory on Monday morning because of all the bullish signals given Friday. The Bristol news, earnings, internet tracking stock rumours...just more fuel for the fire. Pour it on!

I personally don't follow that strategy. I'd rather try to pick a good low point, give my options some room time-wise, then wait. It's paid off well with MSFT since I bought in at ~77 exactly 30 days ago last Friday.
