Dear DMM: Dewey, CHEATUM & Howell, LLC. !! Is this for real? I am still laughing. Of course ALL National CPA firms have local offices. The difference is besides the resources of the local office they have the TREMENDOUS support of research departments withing the firm not to mention Industry, SEC, Legal, and many other types of contacts. A good CPA partner does far more than worry about a Clients books and tax returns. He brings the full resources of the CPA Firm to the clients availability. Now, I am not knocking local CPA's per se. They are fine for individuals and small local businesses but if your firm is National you should want a National CPA firm to go along with it. Incidentally, the initials LLC mean limited liability thus you dont have much to go to if your CPA messes up big time. JDN
