miss penni, It is ironic that my best teacher was my advanced algebra teacher. She was about 60 years old. We got at least 1 hour of homework a night. She was very stern, but not strict. There was no fooling around in class. If someone started to cut up, he was asked to leave so that the others could learn, but that they could certainly stay if they wanted to learn. She always mentioned that if anybody was having a problem understanding the work that she would be available after school to explain it. There was never any ridicule of the slower students. She had incredible patience, and could explain the complex equations in a very deliberate clear way that made sense. I wish that I could see her one more time to thank and compliment her. I wish that all teachers were like that.
