Buy.com was already advertising under their new name a couple of days ago in my area (radio ads). That is interesting that only today they officially announced their new name. They are also advertising in PC Magazine under the "old" name of Buycomp.com. It's a big two-page ad, stating "The #1 Internet Computer Superstore". Their prominent slogan states, "The Lowest Prices on Earth". <gg> I wonder if Amazon will try to slap a copyright suit on them.

Then there is Yahoo's massive shopping site, and AOL.com, Kmart.com, and Wal-mart.com, barnsandnoble.com, etc.

With so many "supersites" expecting bang-up holiday sales, will the $$$ come in for all of them? Hmmm. The competitive noise is getting deafening.
