Govt considering treating NRIs on par with Indian nationals

New Delhi Sept 3 : Buoyed by the success of Resurgent India Bonds, government is considering treating Non-Resident Indians (NRI's) on par with indian nationals to attract more investments for economic development. Finance minister Yashwant Sinha today disclosed that more proactive economic policies for NRIs including the question of NRIs being treated on par with Indian nationals in the economic field would be announced shortly.
