Robert Morris, Lord Abbett Growth Management and Income Fund Stock Pickers Club

Predicts market chappy in the short term. He is buying stocks with improving fundamentals and earnings.

Picks: Deere & co. (DE) 39 7/16 +5/16 Alcoa (AA) 42 15/16 -1 1/16 Alltel (AT-) 66 ¾ +7/16

Morris believes the market is fully valued. Good news will be slightly rewarded and bad news will be treated badly.

Humana preannounced and though this will be seen in other secotr stocks the better managed companies will do better.

AOL We just don't know where the industry is going yet. Should hang onto AOL because they have the customer base.

BellSouth (BLS) Now that the price is down would be good buy. They are spending to keep competitive, have favorable demographics and reasonable valuation. This is one of the most attractive regional telephone buys according to Morris.

CSCO 116 1/8 +2 5/8 Networking technology company is solid but a risk because of expense of stock. He has no idea what a target price should be.

Burlington Resources (BR) Morris is looking for natural gas to recover. This is a good leveraged play in the area of natural gas. At these prices Morris would be a buyer.

Novell (NOVL) Novell has come back from a near death experience. With the current stron management he would continue to hold NOVL. They had lost their place as the network leader but have come back.

Morris expects the commodity based sectors to be stronger.

Small caps should be helped by global growth and are a good value.

We are still learning the value of the internet on our lives.
