Yep, that was AG's model, but Ben actually popped the Re
bubble by raising and not printing. He did not anticipate
what came next, and as bombs blew up left and right, he
ran around with a fire extinguisher, and so did other
Central Banks. No conspiracy or stealing there. The public
wants to lynch someone. Anybody? -g-

I feel another wave may be coming. Because, the correct
way is to print and do Volcker stuff! I tend to agree with
Stiglitz/Krugman and Co. More stimulus. Yes, it might blow,
and no, we won't print ourselves into Yugoslavia. Derivatives
are a relatively limited icing on the cake of huge debt that
simply redistributes it, creating hot spots like AIG and
Lehman.
