Still keeping the $1 billion cash in short term (less than 12 month maturities) in case it is needed for acquisitions! This did not sound too smart. They were so busy turning the company around they did not have time to think about the soundness of this strategy. It sounded like acquisition of NDS product related companies will be more likely this year. Eric said they were getting more interest from good candidates.

Eric said in a confusing way that Netware 5 was the fastest accepted product he had ever seen. I believe he tried to explain that in an upcoming quarter in 1999 Netware 5 revenue would exceed the total of Netware 3 plus Netware 4 total revenue. I did not understand why that would be surprising.

I did not pick up any clues about current quarter revenue or earnings.
