Stealing? ROFL Ciena appx 1/2 of Tellabs price now, and the offer on the table is .8 shares. Do the math. Tellabs is still offering a premium. re: Yahoo article ''One has to look very hard at this. All it takes is for CIENA to miss (earnings expectations) this quarter or lose another customer. If CIENA really gets hurt in the October quarter, this (deal) could be a roll of the dice again,'' said one arbitrageur who declined to be named." Arbitrageurs who refuse to take ownership for their opinions deserve zero credibility, in my opinion. Not to mention Birck could give a rat's butt about a quarter or two (per Friday's conference call). It's the future, not the short-term play.
