BUT THE TRUE BELIEVERS STICK TO THEIR GUNS. So do we take Rukeyser seriously?? Does anyone? Never mind, that isn't, I suppose, the point. Chip (it must have been Destiny) Morris runs a tech fund, and really should know better: "lots of competition coming in, companies such as SyQuest..." Been on vacation, Chip? Seems SYQT's on its way to bulletin board land, unless they get taken over FAST. I've no idea whether the EZ-Flyer is viable or not (though friends who've used SyQuest products say they hated them): the point is, how can SYQT battle imminent bankruptcy and successfully launch a new drive at the same time? Marketing takes money, and lots of it. No five-page ads in Newsweek for SYQT, and so on. As a contributor to this thread remarked a few days ago, who'll want to buy a product with no guaranteed technical support a few months down the road? What can I say? I too am an Idiot. Long IOMG (but alas only on and off) since March '95 (and would have got in earlier except my broker thought I was mad). Not that I haven't done nicely. So we'll see. Given that IBD is coming out with an article about the (!) superiority of CD-ROM drives (available when?) on Monday, there may be a nice buying opportunity. And if not, well....
