John Galt:

Perhaps the march is another metaphor. The politics of "today" are simply a predictable display of age-old human nature. The politics of today are the politics of eternity. You speak of the growth of interactive communication. Ironically this communication, this very correspondence, is being monitored. Communication has been improving since Paul Revere. What of our politics?

What rebel states? Wyoming? North Dakota? Have you forgotten what happened to South Carolina the last time it decided to go its own way? The states are the ultimate example of the federal welfare recipient. They're not going anywhere.

Of what underground movement do you speak? Remember, your interactive communication is being monitored. The ?#$$#% WWW is just like the government supply truck in Orwell's "1984." The government sent the truck out purposely to provoke the underground to pillage it. This kept the underground constructively occupied and drew them into the open for easier identification.

Suggesting that the government I know today is in peril is to suggest that society will suddenly be different now. Governments, like societies, evolve. Human nature (politics) is forever.

Happy Pillaging,

AJ
