** OT ** Southwestern Slopes

When I was a kid growing up near TO, we used to visit friends in Tecumseh (just outside Windsor, across the river from Detroit). As you know, the country is flat, flat, flat from Chatham west.

Well, in 1961, when we visited them, the kids were so excited about their winter sports. The 401 highway (Canadian version of Interstate) had been completed in their area and of course there were now a bunch of overpasses.

The local kids now had somewhere to go tobogganing.
