Good luck to everyone with AOL. I have 38 shares, and I am sad because I see it dropping to support at 90 or so. There goes my jet-ski. Time to phone the blood banks to see what they are paying. Many thanks to everyone who responded about my ant farm, see: daveashley.com I had posted this URL just for humor. Greg, I would be cautious about collecting ants from your yard for an ant farm. The reason is that not all species of ants do well in ant farms, it could be exciting or boring depending on the ants. Some will not dig in ant farms. The ants they send you by mail are known performing species. Dr. Zax, thank you for the suggestion about the food coloring. My ants are all deceased now (they lived about a month), but if I ever repopulate the ant farm, this is a tempting idea. I would like to know the distribution of the dirt. But this is a low-priority project :). Dave.
