John, common sense for a sec here...do you really think Saddam would have built several military training camps, including one with a 747 fuselage in it, and then never use them? That old myth that devout Sunnis jihadis like Bin Laden would never ally themselves with Saddam has been busted. It's nothing more than a myth. The fact is that today Al Qaeda jihadis have joined hands with Sunnis to fuel the insurgency. That is all the proof you need that Saddam was complicit in their activities in his country, even if not directly involved (which I don't believe for one minute). We also know for a fact that Saddam paid the families of suicide bombers in Palestine. I mean, how much evidence do you need before you'll believe that Saddam was a terrorist and he aid, abetted, encouraged, and trafficked with terrorists?

Bashar Assad is no different, as the world is now finding out. Harriri ring a bell?
