I think if you look more closely you will find that no one has closed any fabs producing 16mb sdram or 64MB. Dataquests lastest analysis show that industry consensus is 2% growth for 98 with the dram glut to continue through the year just with existing capacity. There will be minor up and down flucuations until demand begins to catch up to supply but in the mean time dram will continue to sell for less then it takes to produce. RR
