The powers that be certainly can" NOT "stop" me from owning "gold". In contrast to you, I'm Free. HoHoHo Not everyone has a country on the other side of the world ready to offer them citizenship if only they will migrate back to the lands their ancestors lived in thousands of years ago. Perhaps that is why some people don't have that option (which you call being "free") to renounce their nationality to keep their riches. And some might not even take the option even if it were offered. The decision may not have been a difficult one for you, but try to understand that some people actually CARE for their country. And that majority could find quite a few other names for this situation in which you find yourself than "free".
