Your insistence on a narrow focus combined with the
inappropraite use of negative & positive spin is the real
issue. You intentionally used a deceptively narrow focus &
inappropriate positive spin to attempt to give legitimacy
to dangerous self interests of those countries opposed to
the war, while you attacked the US appropriate self
interest with negative, deceptive spin.
Using your logic, one can narrow the focus & spin a case
for almost any illegitimate person, group, action or
activity. Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Arafat, Pol Pot, the
KKK, ET AL, all were acting in their own self interests.
By intentionally ignoring what those interests were, one
could cleverly spin a deceptive case to justify their
horrific deeds as well.
