Hyderabad chosen as the site for Indian School of Business.

"Hyderabad finally clinched the project due to the "vision, organisation and enthusiasm of the Andhra Pradesh government," according to Anil Ambani of the Reliance group, who attended the MoU signing ceremony."
........

The school will become fully operational by 2000-01 and will be an autonomous, self-funding, non-profit institution. It will be affiliated to leading schools like the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and the J L Kellog Graduate School of Management at North Western University. The schools have signed an agreement to facilitate curriculum development, student and faculty exchange programmes and research.

In line with international standards, ISB will maintain a ratio of 14 to 16 students per teacher. It is learnt that ISB has already identified 150 Indian professionals in 20 top US business schools who have expressed willingness to join the institute.
