barry, what did the pharisees do for Jesus to talk about blasphemeing the Holy Spirit. He had cast out demons and they declared it the work of the devil (Luke 11:15). Then He left them and He began saying to his desciples. Declaring the work of the Holy Spirit that of the devil is blasphemy the Holy Spirit. Too many times we let the chaptures mess us up. the chaptures and verses were not added til 17 or 18 century. Jesus never said Gen 1 :26 or Isiah 14:12 or Eze 28:14. The scenes run right together. For this reason I'm very careful about declaring a miracle or event the work of the Holy Spirit or the work of the devil.
