U.S. School Districts Continue to Choose Apple.

>CUPERTINO, Calif., June 30 /PRNewswire/ -- School districts throughout the U.S. are choosing Macintosh(R) over the Windows/Intel (Wintel) platform, a new study reports. According to new research conducted in March, 1997, by Quality Education Data (QED), a Denver-based research and data base company, U.S. K-12 school districts intending to buy computers in 1997-98 are planning to purchase Macintosh. QED's recently released 1997-98 Technology Purchasing Forecast report shows that 59 percent of the planned computer purchases by school districts are intended to be Macintosh(R), a 3 percent increase over last year.<
