Perspective:

George Bush received 62,040,610 votes in the 2004 Presidential Election

Harry Reid received 490,232 votes in the 2004 senate election.

Nancy Pelosi received 148,428 votes in the 2006 election.

In total, democrat house members received only 39,673,226 votes in the 2006 elections. I'm sorry, I'm missing the "Clear Mandate" that democrats talk about when they try to "sell" their points.
