I play this stuff based on the assumption that the market is trying to manipulate me through these emotions.

When I feel a strong urge, I try to step back and see if my strings are being pulled. If I judge that they are, I then look at the source of the information that has pulled these strings to try to get an idea of the direction of the push and why. Most of the time the strings are designed to take the little guy for a ride.

Paranoid works for me ..

But (as Detroit Gonzo, Ted Nugent, would say) sometimes it's hard to get beside myself.

Isn't it supposed to be a sign of market top when everybody says it can't go down?
