It is unfortunate that many people and the media cannot or will not be intellectually honest enough to admit that, for all intents and purposes, ...

There is no “left wing” left in America. There is a liberal or progressive view of things; there is a moderately liberal (and in the current global crisis quite useless) interest group; there is a conservative push to cannonize the social movements of the 60's and 70's.

There is no right wing remaining in America, There are conservatives who would like to hang on to values that have built strong communities of families and friends who share common ideals and principles, there are progressives who would like to see the spread of democracy so that more people in the world would be free of brutal and oppressive tyranny, there are also liberals who would like to see broader realization of personal freedoms to worship, thrive within free enterprise and extend personal autonomy. There are also those whose goal is to destroy opposition to constitutional foundations.

Then there is a lot of insidious code speak like 'anti-choice', 'protected-status', etc that partisan extremists like to use just to get a rah rah for their club. Which end of the egg do you open? Do you put your toilet paper roll on so that the paper goes over or under? Be sure to check with the party leader before answering...
