CinemaStar Luxury Theaters to Expand Into Mexico
OCEANSIDE, CALIF. (Nov. 12) BUSINESS WIRE -Nov. 12, 1997--CinemaStar
Luxury Theaters Inc. (Nasdaq:LUXY) Wednesday announced that its planned
expansion into the international market will be inaugurated with the
opening of its first 10-screen Ultraplex theater complex in Tijuana,
Mexico, on Friday, Nov. 14, 1997.
The Ultraplex 10 at The Plaza Americana Mall will have 37,000 square
feet to accommodate seating for 2,100 guests. The auditoriums will be
equipped with luxurious high-back reclining seats, offering guests an
unobstructed view of the movie, and expanded legroom between seat rows
in all auditoriums. This will be the first George Lucas
all-THX-digital-sound-equipped theater in Mexico and Latin America.

approximately 1,600 screens available in a country whose citizens love
movies, particularly American-made films. This is a tremendous

CinemaStar is expanding into Mexico through its Mexican subsidiary,
CinemaStar Luxury Theaters S.A. de C.V.
Founded in 1989, CinemaStar Luxury Theaters currently operates seven
first-run movie theaters, with a total of 69 screens in Southern
California. CinemaStar theaters feature high-quality projection and
sound capabilities, including LucasFilm THX Stereo Surround Sound
environment system in most auditoriums, along with luxury amenities
such as high-back reclining seats and extra-wide aisles between seat
rows.
