I recently asked Lombard why they mentioned frequent trader credits
on their information pages. I got the following email, which may
suggest future directions at Lombard for free quotes, as well as their
strategy for providing fast service to frequent traders:

My question, followed by their answer...

We are working on a Frequent Trader Credit system. There have been no
formalized plans on how this will be implemented. The reasoning behind this
system is to limit the number of freeloaders on the system, people who open
minimum accounts who do not trade. We want to provide our active customers
with the best services we can. At this time there are no limitations or
charges for our online systems, they are free to our customers.
