What specifically is the action that you want to hold Australia responsible for? Allowing immigration? I don't consider not outlawing something to be the same as committing the action you legally allow.

They changed the immigration laws which allowed non Anglo Saxon people from countries other than the UK to emigrate to AU for the expressed purpose of getting cheap labor. At the same time they did not pass laws that made it illegal to discriminate against these groups.

Ok they are responsible for that. Rioting, assault, and destruction of property? Nope the violent individuals on both sides of the conflict in Australia are responsible for that.

Yes, and in your world, the gov't had nothing to do with the consequences of their action. Ridiculous.

That's neither my aim, nor an aim that is properly associate with those currently in political power in the US, at least not more than it is associated with politicians in general.

Corruption, a restriction of freedoms and cynicism have all been on the rise since Bush and the GOP have gained control of the gov't. And please don't ask me to give you examples. The truth is out there.
