Among the most significant gains, which demonstrate growing multinational traction, J.D. Edwards' ASP partner EOH-Mauritius closed a major new market customer -- the Rogers and Company Ltd., which holds major control over multiple business sectors on the island of Mauritius, located off the southeast coast of Africa. The deal with the Rogers Group involves an initial implementation of 350 users. In addition, J.D. Edwards' partners Asperian and Andersen delivered solutions to a combined 140 users.
J.D. Edwards' ASP partner program, which marries J.D. Edwards' open, flexible, easy-to-use technologies with its partners' vertical expertise, represents the first successful channel program in this sector. J.D. Edwards' 26 current partners passed a rigorous selection process and gained intimate familiarity with both the J.D. Edwards software as well as industry- and market-specific customer needs and challenges.
"We believe that it's critical in the ASP market to have vertical expertise," said Rob Unger, president and COO of Agilera, Inc., a key J.D. Edwards ASP partner. "Our customers rely on us to understand their business, speak their language, and know their pain points. We take a world-class product, like J.D. Edwards', and make it useful and meaningful based on the specific daily needs of the end user."
The flexibility and innovation of the J.D. Edwards ASP program allows partner companies to serve not only as ASP hosts, but in turn, as service provider channels and lead generators whose own vertical customers become hosts based on the J.D. Edwards ASP solution platform. J.D. Edwards thereby allows its customers to create new lines of business for themselves and for J.D. Edwards, based on core collaborative strengths.
"J.D. Edwards' ASP program continues to gain momentum worldwide because of the clear value it offers to customers," said Dee Kellogg, director of ASP Solutions at J.D. Edwards. "Companies clearly benefit from using our applications in a hosted environment. This way, they take advantage of the flexibility and rich features of our products while minimizing their total cost of ownership."
To showcase J.D. Edwards' ASP channel program and the successful collaboration among ASP partners and joint customers, several companies will demonstrate their recent combined efforts at J.D. Edwards' FOCUS conference in Denver, June 11-14, 2001:
Agilera, DigiTerra and ResortQuest
ASP partners Agilera and DigiTerra, Inc. will showcase the successful first-phase implementation of J.D. Edwards' financial applications in a hosted environment for joint customer ResortQuest. Agilera and DigiTerra accelerated the implementation of new applications for ResortQuest, a leading name and online booking service in the vacation-rental and property management industry, to nine weeks, down from a typical six months, due to the alliance and synergy of combined skills and expertise. The solution provides ResortQuest a uniform financial structure for increased efficiencies, improved standard processes, procedures, analysis and budgeting and a common, scalable platform.
"ResortQuest continues to experience a phenomenal period of growth and needed a centralized solution that could not only be in place quickly, but could integrate disparate property management and back office systems with the scalability to meet our needs as we continue to rapidly expand and acquire new businesses," said Mark Aldy, ResortQuest's vice president of financial systems and project manager. "The combination of Agilera's and DigiTerra's expertise with J.D. Edwards applications -- and the strong relationship between them -- provided an ideal fit." |
