Prometheus made a fair debut ..named after the Titan in old Greek mythology who is credited for creating man ( from clay) & gifting his children with fire furthering their power & abilities to reach forth create & conquer their ignorance themselves . Familiar story, this man made from clay gifted with light to increase his knowledge but now that knowledge has expanded we can imagine all & every possibility , even theorize it may have started elswhere . Even make films about it ... Of course its as wonderful to think if it started elswhere at the hand of some superior being , its as probable it started here , there & everywhere . Though the film is playing on the Titan/Alien introducing DNA theme and beings who turn out to be some type of dark angels with again the usual sci-fi faster than light travel is by-passed . More then a few plot holes its got the attention of people talking with the sequel already in the works since it answered none of the questions of why they made us or why they would destroy us and what exactly happened 2000yrs ago when they lost control of their own bio experiments.
