I am quite familiar with the Bernoulli principle and also owned several
Bernoulli drives. As I understand it, the ATOMM technology enabled
high-density disk media. The Bernoulli technology allows fast spin of
flexible media for fast read/write, and simple head construction (does
not have to have precise tolerances as harddisk). I think the marriage
of these technologies by IOMG design team that gave birth to the
proprietary Zip technology - providing high performance at low cost.

Without the Bernoulli technology in the Zip, I believe IOMG wouldn't
have a strong patent case. But I confess that I do not know the design
of the Zip in glory details. I certainly would like to get my hand on the
Zip patents to understand in more details. However, experts have said
that Zip patents are solid.
