The possibility of 12,000 bpd and gas in addition???

Just FYI, I was scrolling thru the site and didn't really see any mention of a small company on the ASE that is getting very close to announcing the flow rates for their latest project. The company is Commonwealth Energy Corp. (CWY.ASE) and has just recently drilled in the Dakota zone in the channel sands in Wyoming. They appear to have hit a zone width of 78', which was pretty much exactly as predicted prior to drilling and had a nice gas show at shallow depths as well. On the CWY thread one poster made mention of the possibility of a 12,000 bpd production rate and I have to admit I initially wrote that off as being unrealistic hype. I have done some checking and although, there is no way that anyone could/should expect those types of numbers, there have been wells in this area, with this sort of width of pay zone, that have indeed been in that sort of production range. Given that we are probably a maximum of 2 weeks from hard numbers, this should get interesting quickly. CWY is currently collecting completion funding from the partners (no problems with this, they are almost done) and will commence completion in short order.

I hope I do not seem as though I am hyping this, but I have to admit they have gotten me more excited about a project than most I have seen.

Salut,
Leigh McBain
