Thanks, Tom,
For your kind words and your input. I appreciate your checking the close trades, in particular. I'm hoping to have this somewhat tuned by the end of January. It's been surprisingly hard to find industry associations for some categories, such as bioinformatics. Once I get the links done and the taxonomy tuned, I'm on cruise control. Trickle has enough cash to buy a couple hundred shares each of the wish list stocks should a sell off take them down to my targets. Again those are WAT (55); ABI(70); SIAL (30); and IVGN (55). I can live without WAT, as Trickle has other MS plays. I would feel compelled to eventually sell 1/2 the VARI if I wanted to pick up WAT. Other adjustments having to do with trying to cover all the categories and balancing the portfolio properly among the catgories will be made, but that's the basic strategy.
Should things take off, Trickle will enjoy the ride, hopefully having bottom-fished effectively. Would look for the new spin offs and company specific weakness to buy on. Maybe trade a big mover in the portfolio for a wish list stock that hasn't moved quite as much, etc. . . .
