Most SanDisk gadgets are made or assembled in China from parts made in China, Taiwan, or Japan. It may possible to find out the actual Chinese manufacturers, but I doubt that one could easily invest in them. I recently purchased the SanDisk Photo Album and two mini Cruzer USB storage devices. They are all made in China. They really work well and are essentially plug in devices, with little or no need to refer to the instructions. I have not tried the audio player, but given the shortage of iPOD units in stores, I wouldn't be surprised if some people tried the SNDK unit. Art
