This was just meant as an example. My strategy varies significantly depending on how far out until expiration, and where I expect the stock to go. My point was that if you just buy and hope without an exit strategy, then you might as well go to a casino. No trader is right 100% of the time (at least I don't know any but if you're out there let me know). An August position does not have long until expiration so you should be willing to lose it all or have a clear strategy not to do so. After you own the option is awfully late to figure out how much you are willing to lose. Nice call - good day to have puts.
