I'll try to picture myself owning AOL, and see what kinda dreams
I can come up with. I don't have anything aginst her becoming the BIG MAC, KFT or Wally World of the internet, I'd prefer that I think over having MSFT dominating the picture. But I dread to think of any
Monopoly sqezzing out the little ISPs.
The picture I have in mind is not an easy one to paint.
Meanwhile I have to distinguish beteeen AOL the company,
and AOL stock. That I believe the stock is over priced..and so on and such is a different matter. I do believe some things effecting the price of the stock are beyond the controal of AOL management, but that's a separate issue.
What I think is likely happening is not simple, and finding the
words to paint that picture is a chore. We all know shorts and speculators are working the stock, and could care less about the people who are long on it. I'm in the middle of that for reasons
that have not become compleatly clear to me yet..right now
I see it more as an adventure in learning the nuances of the
stock market, and all it's tricks and traps. AOL the stock got my attention primarily because of her volatility. It's hard to find another one that dances up and down as much as AOL. I'm looking forward to buying some calls on her some time next week, I see this call/put thing more as a challenge to my forecasting skills than a
way to get rich, and I'll have to admitt thoes skills need improving, still I'v learned a lot since I started, and got rid of my advisor..<G>
Monday will be an interesting day for me, she is sitting at short
term resistance level, I have no idea if she will break through it..that's what makes her so interesting, well I take that back,
I doubt she breaks that resistance..but won't put any bets
down unless she does. You see more and more I just bet, when
she fools me, it sounds silly..to bet when your forcast turns
out wrong, but it seems to give me a slight edge.
Btw BSX..been a lot of bears betting aginst her..but she is showing
me some short term bullish signals. If Rmdy fails to follow through
with her rally she'l be a put prospect..SCOP too..but every thing
is on hold till I see some more indications.
