Roger and All: IMO investors seem to be under the impression that we live in a perfectly hedge economic and political environment: Don't worry the tight labor markes/inflation, the Asian slowdown will balance things out. Don't worry about Monica Lewisky and/or the president lying under oath. Once we attack Iraq, we will all back Clinton and forget about it [i.e., the "friendship", affair just a "quick only BJ's" non-sexual relationship or whatever happened] From this we can easily conclude that this market can only go up.
