"Trip to Bountiful" and "Tender Mercies" were Horton's, I think.

What was wrong with "Blue Velvet?" I mean as far as it being a mysterious creepy movie? I'm not saying it is a classic but I just knew Liz would have liked it. "Repo Man" is the better movie, IMO, but then I like any movie with Harry Dean Stanton in it. I think I've seen all of his movies.

I thought "Convicts" was interesting, especially since it was a prequel to the trilogy I had already seen. The films are to some extent self-referential and some of the content in convicts is mentioned in the later movies in throw away conversations. Which is to say you don't need to ever see "Convicts" to understand Horace Robideaux (sp?) but it helps. Is that perfectly muddled? Well I don't care. I'm too lazy to rewrite it.
