The Daimler-Benz no-emission [ZEV] NECAR II mentioned previously has a [large] suitcase sized 50kW Ballard Fuel-cell and two hydrogen pressure tanks [351x1895mm (~1x6ft)]. Maximum speed for this concept vehicle is ~110 km/hr (70mpg) with a range of ~250 km (150 miles). There is mention of a future on-board methanol reformer that would give the vehicle the same range as an internal combustion engine and produce 2/3 less CO2 [and no, the addition of a reformer would not meet the California ZEV classification - however it would likely meet the ULEV "Ultra Low Emission Vehicle" classification].
