Brian do you have any idea of the amount of spending by the DRAM guys in ASIA as a percentage of the total semi-equip spending. Looks like they are going to put things on hold for awhile. Yes the Europeans and the US will make up some of the shortfall but since ASIA (incl. Japan!) does so much DRAM business wouldn't a sharp reduction there hurt the overall semi-equip business. My gut is telling me this recent run-up is a head-fake and there will be opportunities esp. for some of the bigger guys (such as AMAT) that did not get as badly schmoked as some of the smaller companies. One thing that nagged me a lot after AMAT's last c.call was the size of the orders - smaller, quite smaller than the big orders placed in the quarter before that. I'm not sure and have to do more checking around but something does not feel right here!!!
