In a sense. It isn't science until it has been verified and validated by others. In the process, it builds a consensus. I realize that for you, "science" is the process of validating your beliefs, but for those actually in science, it is different.

There is nothing "feel good" about that process. The scientific method is about this refinement process. Your process of "if it matches what the talking heads say, it must be real", is a feel good process.
