David, remember our little foray into this a while ago. Associated Group (AGRPA) makes the TruePosition Wireless 911 locator. From what I have read Snap Track is just one of many players in this arena (Fonefinder, Sirf, Accucom, Micro-Trax, SigmaOne etc) and they are all making similar claims. The list goes on and on. As we talked before, Trimble is working with TruePosition on their approach to the problem. Here is a snip from ATTN about this so we have it on record:
TruePosition Locates Wireless E911 Calls
TruePosition, Inc. (Three Bala Plaza East, 5th Fl., Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004;Tel: 610/660-5340), a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Associated Group(Gateway Towers, Pittsburgh, PA 15200-0230; Tel: 412/281-1907), will be using Trimble's GPS clock for its emergency 911 system. Named Thunderbolt, the Trimble unit provides precise timing synchronization between location receivers to zero-in on an emergency caller's handset.
TruePosition signed a contract in June to provide its system to the Houston Area: biz.yahoo.com
I have not seen anything to indicate that Snap Track is the winner of this game.
