DF-144 is a gasoline additive. Period. My question was whether it was known, through experimental testing, whether it could be used as an ethanol octane enhancer. (Kind of like your question in reverse). DF-144 is made from ethanol, but it's used as a gasoline additive. My friends (ecologist types) tell me that's all well and good, but that transportation will head, inevitably, to a point, say 15-20 years down the line where the fuel is renewable to some degree. Oil ain't renewable! <LOL> I can live off of my Arcon fortune until that time. <G> Thanks, Jay for the FAQ. JH
