David, You're absolutely right. If one the one hand, Dr. Cowpland had no knowledge of the financial condition (yeah right) of his company, he should resign, or should be forced to resign on the basis of incompetence, or failure in his "duty of care."

On the other hand, if he knew, which is the only likely scenario, then he should go to jail. There is a direct cause and effect between the two announcements and the share price after both. Its called "insider trading," motivated by personal gain. Maybe Vanni's been doing some wishful thinking. Maybe Reverend Bill can help.
